Day 7 ☀️ Your Health, Your Wealth

As a society, we are somewhat indoctrinated into the idea that we should invest in our financial future — particularly if you had the financial privilege of growing up in a middle or upper class household. From an early age, the message is clear: save, accumulate, and build wealth so that you’ll be secure later in life. And there is something to this: money can make a lot of things easier for us. But you know what else makes things easier? Being healthy. Especially in the midst of our healthcare crisis, we have to ask ourselves: what can we do to set ourselves up well — to feel fucking great in our body and mind while living a beautiful life?

Create an environment of health and it will pay you back in dividends. We cannot control certain things that may arise when it comes to our health. But we can certainly create an enormously valuable portfolio through conscious habits that set patterns for health in our body.  So… question: Are you creating an environment of disease or an environment of health?

Finding balance and enjoying things that are not quote unquote healthy is part of balance. We are looking at general behavior patterns because your habits have a ripple effect. What nourishes you most?

Today, I want you to reflect on your future self and how you would like to see yourself. How do you want to feel in your body?

Journal Prompts:

Take a few minutes to journal on these reflections and save them somewhere you can return to later.

  • How do I imagine my future self feeling in my body, mind, and spirit?

  • What makes it important to you to live in a healthy body as you grow older?

  • What small daily habits could I begin today that my future self would thank me for?

  • Where in my life am I creating an environment of health? Where might I be unintentionally creating an environment of dis-ease?

  • What nourishes me most — physically, emotionally, and energetically?

  • How can I strike a balance between honoring my health and enjoying the pleasures of life?
