On Demand - Day 14
Day 14 | The Power of Currency
We all have a psychological bank when it comes to time and money. We choose where to spend these things. They are like a powerful currency. While these precious resources hold immense value, it is even more important not to be defined by them when it comes to knowing your worth. For today, let’s peak under the hood at financial currency.
Finances - Step One
Financial stress can bear a heavy burden on our bodies over all health. The ebbs and flows of life can deliver challenges to even the most prepared. There may be times when the hardest working person can’t seem get a break. Achieving clarity around finances stands as the pivotal first step in financial recovery. Taking a financial inventory of income and expenses is key. Some will hire outside help. For those seeking guidance on a budget, there are twelve-step programs tailored to provide support, and the best part is, it's essentially free.
Finances - The Noise in the Background
Another layer surrounding finances involves addressing ‘tolerations’. If feng shui prompts us to tidy our rooms, this is gonna be like peering into the closet. We examine the more subtle things that we tolerate in our financial lives. To facilitate this process, I'll share my toleration checklist, a tool I use with coachees.
Tomorrow, we will look deeper at our relationship to time, plus a little off-the-mat challenge for our last week! I hope you will join us for our chat as I reveal NEW tool that may just change your whole life. 💥 For now, let’s dive into some actions and tools around finances.
TOLERATION TOOLS
Toleration Check List - take this quick quiz to see where you are around your financial tolerations today.
Expense Tracking Apps: Utilize budgeting and expense tracking apps to gain a comprehensive understanding of your financial inflows and outflows. Apps like Mint or YNAB (You Need A Budget) can help identify areas where you may be tolerating unnecessary or overlooked expenses. Feel free to share alternative app with me, too!
Check Your Statements: If not using an app, look at your credit card and bank statements and be sure it is correct.
For six weeks, write down every expense you make and tag it into categories. Adding up the column from Erewhon is going to make it real.
JOURNAL
Choose one toleration that you would like to clear during our final week. Write down what it is. What will addressing this toleration do for you? What if anything is between you and addressing this? What means of support do you need to help you clear this?
