Day 8 ❍ From Chaos to Clarity
So I have a neighbor whom I love. She’s fiercely loyal, generous, combative, hilarious, flawed, and perfect.
Her nickname is chaos.
I don’t call her that, but I know about it. And I wouldn’t call her toxic — far from it.
Things can be chaotic, and as with most things, there is a spectrum to how they really play out. But in our world right now, chaos has taken on a different weight. It has become something we are swimming in. Something we are constantly responding to. Something that quietly taxes our nervous systems, our energy, and our clarity.
This isn’t just about getting through a trip to Costco anymore.
We are living in a time of enormous upheaval and polarization. Chaos greets us everywhere we turn — on our screens, in our politics, on the road, and in the relentless busyness of our days. It’s a lot. And whether we consciously name it or not, our bodies feel it.
Here’s the tricky thing about chaos: it’s strangely alluring. It can hook us. Pull us into cycles of outrage, urgency, and over-consumption of information. It can become a kind of stimulation we don’t even realize we’re addicted to.
Energetically, chaos often lands in the third chakra — the center of will, digestion, and personal power. This is the place where we metabolize life, not just food. And when this center is overwhelmed, it doesn’t stay contained. The chakra system is woven together. So when the gut is rattled, the heart can feel heavy, the throat can tighten, and our voice can swing between extremes — from over-expressing to feeling strangely mute.
Something starts to feel off.
We may find ourselves dangling between self-righteousness and apathy. Between urgency and exhaustion. Between wanting to speak and not having the energy to explain. And the insidious nature of chaos is that it desperately craves our attention and will do anything to capture it.. It feeds on it. It pulls on us. It accumulates inside us.
Sometimes, what our body truly needs is a compassionate pause and the simple recognition:
I’m holding a lot right now.
So today, let’s explore...
A Powerful Reframe ⏰ What if chaos is a wake-up call?
Instead of being swept away by it, we can pause and ask:
What is my relationship to the chaos around me?
How am I relating to it — absorbing it, resisting it, amplifying it, avoiding it?
What is my point of view? What is my instinct?
How can I use my voice with clarity and intention?
What does my body need to handle what I’m holding or interacting with?
And gently, honestly:
Am I creating chaos in any of my relationships?
Do I live with one foot in and one foot out?
Do I end something, feel lonely, pull it back in… only to break it off again?
This is not about judgment. It’s about awareness.
Because clarity is not the absence of chaos.
Clarity is the ability to stay rooted within it.
And that… is power.
“No on can hurt you more than an unwise thought. No one can help you more than a wise thought. ”
